365 New Things: Try Some Thing New Every Day for a Year

Ever feel stuck in a rut? That’s how I feel right now. On one hand I know I try my best to live my life to the “fullest” accepting each twist and turn as it comes.  On the other hand, I feel completely and utterly bored.

(This is me lying in bed, depressed and having a little pity party)

I feel dispassionate, tired of the same old stuff and have no idea what to do with myself. I feel like I need a “Purpose Fairy” to waive her magic wand and tell me what to do next. I always thought the idea of inspiration was BS, but lately I feel like I really could use a push. Since I know it’s unlikely a wise and majectisic talking unicorn will show up and tell me what to do with my life, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I’m going to do something NEW EVERY DAY for the next 365 days.

Some days it will be something big – like a “bucket list” style adventure, and other days it will be something very silly and or small. All I know is I am going to do something. Everyday. The only person in control of my life is ME, so if I feel bored or like I’m not doing enough to live a full life it’s up to me to create one.

I hope some of you will join me and make a contract with yourself to do something NEW EVERYDAY. Here is what the contract looks like:

I, Jenn Hoffman, am going to do something new every day for the next 365 days.

That’s it. I am now contractually bound. I created my own little “365 Day Project.” I look forward to sharing my adventures with you.
